The Corones dining room has been feeding travellers and locals since 1929, beneath high heritage ceilings in one of the grandest rooms in western Queensland. The kitchen does the classics properly: dry-aged steak from the grill, fresh seafood, generous pub favourites, and a few surprises from the wood-fired oven.
Pull up a stool at the legendary long bar — once one of the longest in the southern hemisphere — for a cold beer, a glass of wine, or a quiet whisky at the end of a long day on the road.

The Corones bar is a Charleville institution — polished timber, cold taps, and the kind of easy conversation that only happens in a proper country pub. There’s no dress code and no rush. Bring your mates, bring your road stories.
The bottle shop next door is stocked for the journey on, and the bar pours from late morning right through the evening.
